Remedies for local and indigenous communities

In line with  MMC Norilsk Nickel’s Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Policy the Company ensures discussion and cooperation on issues affecting the interests of indigenous peoples in its regions of operation. Information on alleged human rights violations is also collected via Nornickel's Corporate Trust Line.

For the Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) procedure regarding the construction of the new Tukhard settlement on the Taimyr Peninsula and the development of the Kolmozerskoye lithium deposit in the Murmansk Region, separate grievance mechanisms were in place.
